Enterprise Ireland & LIBS seek London-based executives to support Irish businesses looking to enter the UK market
Following on from the success of our previous City Insights Programmes we are delighted to announce that Enterprise Ireland (EI) have renewed their corporate partnership with LIBS for 2019 and are seeking out interested LIBS members to join us again in supporting Irish businesses looking to break into the UK market.
In 2015, LIBS and EI’s London office together developed the City Insights Programme, bringing together a group of six high-potential client companies from EI’s FinTech cluster and pairing them with senior executives from the UK industry. Previously 20 advisors were drawn from the LIBS’ membership to work strategically with these companies, providing them with market intelligence and readiness, as well as helping them to develop their value propositions and engage in meaningful professional networking.
Previous programmes have been hugely successful, facilitating the signing of one global pilot agreement between an Irish SME and a top tier institutional lender, as well as brokering more than 100 introductions between Irish enterprises and senior figures from the UK financial services sector, and was endorsed by Minister Simon Harris T.D who said the initiative was “… tangible evidence of the massive potential of leveraging the wealth of expertise and experience of our diaspora active in this sector”.
We are now inviting expressions of interest from those keen to join this year’s panel. We are looking for 30 LIBS’ members to participate and welcome applications from all sectors to compliment the dynamic mix of companies that are on this year’s programme.
Participants will be expected to commit approximately 12 hours over the period from March to July 2019, including attendance at a launch event (March 14th) and wrap-up session (July 25th) in Central London, as well as the opportunity to attend various networking receptions throughout.
