Building from our inaugural event held last December LIBS are delighted to announce the return of our tech start-up focused event (#libstech2.0) on the 9th of June 2016
Ireland has long been considered a major European technology and innovation hub with many major global firms investing there over the last 30 years, drawn by high quality, English speaking talent and a gateway to the European market.
However now a new ecosystem of indigenous Irish start-ups is emerging, excelling, innovating and bringing new products to market using new methods to challenge the establishment.
Ireland’s thriving international reputation as a start-up hotbed shows no signs of abating. According to recent industry figures, venture capital funding in Ireland doubled in the first three months of 2016, with €237m raised.
Together with Google and supported by the office of the Dublin Commissioner for Startups, LIBS is delighted to return to our tech pitching sessions for 2016 and invite our members to hear from three of the most promising domestic Irish companies as they look to capture some of that investment and internationalise to Europe and beyond.
We’re privileged to welcome another expert industry panel to offer their valuable insight and experience to the companies through a series of Dragon’s Den style pitches, before we get a final verdict from the intimidating LIBS audience!
Our inaugural tech startups event in December 2015 was a huge success, be sure to check out the podcast from that event here.
Further details to follow, be sure to keep an eye on our website and our social media pages as we release more information in advance of the event!
